Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
Postgly does not collect any personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising identifiers and no cloud sync. Nothing you do in the app is reported back to us, and we operate no servers that receive your data.
What Postgly stores, and where
Everything Postgly saves stays on your device, inside the app's own storage area:
- Connection details — the name, host, port, database and username of the servers you add.
- Connection passwords — kept in an encrypted local vault file, never in plain text.
- Preferences — such as theme and language, plus the AI settings described below.
You can erase all of it at any time by deleting the connections inside the app or by removing the application.
Network connections the app makes
Postgly only talks to servers you choose:
- Your databases. Postgly connects directly from your device to the PostgreSQL servers you configure. Your queries and their results travel between your device and those servers only.
- Your AI provider, if you enable it. The AI assistant is optional and inactive until you supply an endpoint and API key. Once configured, the questions you ask it — along with the database schema information needed to answer them, such as table and column names — are sent to that endpoint so it can generate SQL. The endpoint is whichever OpenAI-compatible service you point it at, including a model running on your own machine. That provider's own privacy policy governs what it does with the request. We never receive a copy.
Postgly makes no other network requests.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your data, because we do not have it.
Children
Postgly is a developer tool and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
